Marked under the flap as: Field Pack, Combat, MC (Marine Corps), these packs were an attempt to modernize the USMC's load carrying equipment in the late 1960's. The first stop gap measure was essentially a copy of the WWII M-41 Haversack, but made in nylon to better resist tropical climates. These packs are hard to find today and were only made for a limited time. This pack is 1968 dated and in EXC condition. All straps, etc. are intact and present.
